Pak-Turk Maarif Promises to Deliver Its Best

June 24, 2020

Pak-Turk Maarif international is a Turkish State-funded organization that is serving Pakistan’s academic needs since 2006. Recently, our Education Coordinator, Mr Bugra Ozler has talked exclusively on FM 101 about how we are coping during the pandemic and what unique transformations we have embedded into our education system within just 15 days of lockdown to fight against the psychological impacts of COVID-19 trauma on our students’ learning appetite.

In a very short span of time, Pak-Turk Maarif has introduced a new interface, Blackboard Collaborate, in our Learning Management System (LMS), and has trained 1100 teachers across Pakistan to be better equipped in tackling this global crisis by facilitating students’ discovery of knowledge while they are stranded at their homes. Mr Bugra Ozler categorically emphasized upon the fact that Pak-Turk believes in interactive learning, and so our online education is a two-way system where both students and teachers collaborate to set up an ‘active learning environment’ parallel to actual classroom teaching through various home learning activities, science for kids series, English tales, and many such other interesting accomplishments. Unlike one-way video conferencing that gets boring after some time, and that also requires high-profile gadgets and uninterrupted high-speed internet availability irrespective of learners’ circumstances, Pak-Turk Maarif’s Online Educations System offers a ‘Blended-Module’ that is asynchronous online pedagogy fortified with proper follow-up assignments, assessments, reinforcements and projects that require 5-10 minutes of internet connection to download the live lectures recorded specifically for such students. This is further supported through individual virtual classrooms in which each student is connected to his teacher and being monitored via a well-structured feedback arrangement. Mr Bugra also highlighted the fact that this tireless effort from the teachers and administrative staff of Pak-Turk Maarif has earned a relatively higher percentage of attendance that is astonishing during this pandemic toll. He further highlights the need of such well-planned academic activities to keep children busy in constructive routine during these most difficult of times, and Pak-Turk Maarif is willing to play its part honestly and diligently in providing the best of the services.

Mr Bugra Ozler has also pointed out the success-check of all these efforts by Pak-Turk Maarif, that is, a very high percentage of attendance and amazing parental feedback.
