International Maarif Schools, Islamabad marked a defining chapter in its educational journey with a landmark celebration titled “The V Code: From Vision to Victory”, held at the Marriott Hotel, Islamabad. The event commemorated the school's evolution into a globally accredited institution and brought together a distinguished gathering of ambassadors, educational leaders, government officials, and prominent personalities.
The highlight of the event was the official declaration of IMS Islamabad as an IB World School, a prestigious milestone that places the institution among the ranks of internationally recognized schools offering the esteemed International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes. This recognition is a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic, inquiry-driven education that empowers students to become principled, reflective, and globally minded individuals.
Another major milestone celebrated was the launch of the Pearson BTEC programme, an internationally respected, skill-based qualification that integrates academic excellence with practical, career-oriented learning.
The ceremony was further elevated by a special address from Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, who praised the role of Maarif Schools in fostering international academic standards and promoting inclusive, value-based education in Pakistan. She highlighted the importance of innovation, student empowerment, and global cooperation in shaping the future of education.
The event was graced by several esteemed guests including H.E. Mr. Irfan Neziroğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan; H.E. Ms. Dilşad Şenol, Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Pakistan; Mr. Nader Alturk, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the State of Palestine; the Ambassadors of Azerbaijan and Libya to Pakistan; Ms. Uzma Yousaf, Country Director of Cambridge International Examinations; and renowned Pakistani TV actress Ms. Laila Zuberi. Also in attendance were representatives from Beaconhouse Newlands, Pearson, LGS, and other educational institutions.
The celebration featured a rich program including a TED-style talk by a Grade 3 student, a PYP Exhibition displaying months of inquiry-based student projects, a traditional Turkish performance, and the Sufi-inspired dance “Wajd.” These performances showcased the diversity, confidence, and creativity nurtured in Maarif learners.
Students across the Board, Cambridge, and newly introduced BTEC streams were recognized through awards, video tributes, and testimonials under the segment “Toppers’ Tribe.” Graduation ceremonies for Kindergarten and Grade 5 students were also held, marking important educational transitions with pride and joy.
The event also featured “Echoes of Excellence”, a multimedia presentation that reflected on the school’s journey, highlighting progress across early years, primary, and secondary education.
Speaking at the event, the Country Director of Turkish Maarif Foundation, Mr. Harun Küçükaladağlı expressed gratitude to all guests and reaffirmed the school’s dedication to advancing academic excellence, promoting global citizenship, and fostering a peaceful and prosperous society.
“The V Code: From Vision to Victory” was more than a ceremony—it was a declaration of intent, celebrating vision, achievement, and the transformative power of education at International Maarif Schools, Islamabad.
