Pak-Turk Maarif is well-known across the country for its ‘fix-it’ approach as its administration as well as staff has never shied away from challenges and crises. The current COVID-19 situation has also demanded Pak-Turk Maarif to take some urgent steps to save not only the education of Pakistan’s future, but also the sanity of their parents. Therefore, after the successful completion of the first phase of its Online Education System, Pak-Turk Maarif has now launched the second phase of its online education system, that is, the official start of the academic year 2020-21 for all classes from pre-school to O/A Levels and Intermediate across Pakistan.
The inauguration ceremony was virtually held on the official YouTube Channel on the 18th of June, 2020. The chief guest was his excellency Mr. Shafqat Mahmood Federal Minister for the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (Islamabad – Pakistan). So many illustrious guests and dignitaries had illuminated the occasion with their presence. These include:
Mr. Shafqat Mehmood has appreciated the initiative and called this occasion as a ‘great effort’ on part of the Turkish Maarif Foundation. He wished to see this brotherly friendship stay unaffected by the dust of time and tribulations. The audience was explained the workings of this system via a model demonstration from a genius and hardworking chemistry teacher from Pak-Turk Maarif Boys Campus, Islamabad, Mr. Arsalan. A combination of Blackboard Open LMS, Electronic smart Boards and PowerPoint presentations under the supervisions of technically equipped and digitally trained highly qualified faculty, this online education system is the essential step towards seamless and uninterrupted learning. Mr. Harun Küçükaladağl also explained the synchronous and asynchronous proceedings of lectures that combine live and recorded lectures to give the students the learning that they deserve, and applauded the trust that the parents and students have shown into our education system and called it ‘flawless’, ‘interesting’, ‘timely’, and ‘beneficial’.
Mr. Reha Denemeç has also appreciated the progress of Pak-Turk Maarif, and commented that Pakistan and Turkey are brotherly countries and ‘Pakistan is our top priority’. He also valued Pak-Turk Maarif’s heartwarming scholarships to deserving students. Mr. Murad Ras has shown great interest in the interactive aspect of Pak-Turk Maarif’s Online Education System; and hopes that in the coming times, other public and private institutes also open up their doors to such an amazing technology. Mr. Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul mentioned the greatest challenge of the time: virtual learning, and hopes that Pakistan and Turkey will collaborate and cooperate in the establishment of their online educational system.
In the end, Mr. Birol Akgün paid tribute to every single person who has put his input in the establishment of such a revolutionary foundation of future. He admired the teachers and administration for taking great advantage of the high technology that Turkish Maarif Foundation has generously invested in for the sake of its students and their education.
