Efforts by Cambridge Environment Club of Pak-Turk Maarif Islamabad H-8 Girls Campus for Green Future!

March 2nd, 2021 – students of Cambridge Environmental Club section under the department of Career Development and Global Engagement at Pak-Turk Maarif organized Tree Plantation Event. According to Climate Global Risk Index, Pakistan stands at the eighth position among countries that are adversely affected due to climatic change. This event was made successful by combined efforts of Pak-Turk Maarif with Friends of Environment and National Skill University, Islamabad.

The event started in the school auditorium at 10 0’clock sharp. Cambridge Environmental Club along with the middle section started this event with a presentation about the environment and showed immense interest in saving the future of climate in Pakistan.

The chief guest of the event, Assistant Commissioner Islamabad, Dr. Sania sheds a light on the efforts of the government to save the environment. She highlighted the need of saving trees and conserving nature for the future of children and the planet.

The respected principal of Pak-Turk Maarif, Mrs. Zerfishan appreciated the efforts of students and Friends of Environment in arranging this event. She encouraged the students to take part in saving the environment.

For plantation activity at Pak-Turk Maarif H-8/1 Campus, Turkish Red Crescent Society joined hands with ASFAT and National Skill University. Friends of Environment generously donated 100 plants for this event. Vice-Chancellor “Muhammad Mukhtar” of National Skill University, ASFAT Pakistan Country Office Specialist “Ali Önen”, ASFAT Central Supply and Logistics Manager “Ali Güre”, ASFAT Budget and Financing Manager “Oğuz Altıntaş” and Education Coordinator Pakistan “Buğra Özler” all participated with students to plant fruit and shading plants in the ground of Pak-Turk Maarif H-8 Girls Campus.

The main aim of this event was to establish the connection of students with their surrounding environment. In the end, shields were distributed among respected participants.
