INSET 04: A Comprehensive Approach to Student Development at Pak-Turk Maarif International

Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools and Colleges upholds the honor to initiate comprehensive, systematic, pragmatic, and integrated guidance, counselling and to nourish mentally strong, intellectually sound, emotionally balanced, socially adaptable, culturally responsive, physically smart, and skill-driven students with meritocratic, tolerant and inclusive thoughts and approaches and to guide, support and facilitate them in their academic endeavours, career development, and personal grooming.

 

Adding more value to its efforts and further educating and empowering its teachers, academic staff, and school leaders, the organization through its Department of Student Affairs and Global Engagement arranged a meticulous in-service training titled INSET-04 in its campuses across different regions. The training theme was “Integrating Social, Emotional, and Academic Development” of the students in schools and at home. The purpose of the training was to increase the awareness of the targeted participants about the interconnected of the social, emotional, and academic development of the students, to establish a student support system, encourage collaborations and partnerships among students and staff, enhance parental involvement, create a supportive learning environment, promote a growth mindset and create personal development plans for the students to make their school experience more valuable and learning-oriented.

 

It has been an event where a diverse group of intellectuals trained over 400 school teachers, staff, and leaders from 12 campuses and four cities in 10 days. The training sessions were efficiently designed to be interactive, incorporating group discussions, case studies, and presentations. This approach facilitated active participation, allowing teachers to share experiences, pose questions, and apply the principles discussed to real-life scenarios. Regular feedback sessions were integrated to gauge the effectiveness of the training, and adjustments were made in response to the valuable input received.

 

The INSET-04 successfully empowered teachers and school leaders with a profound understanding of key school policies and their practical application. The emphasis on inclusion, diversity, and social-emotional well-being ensures a nurturing and conducive learning environment for students across all campuses. This training marks the initiation of a school community dedicated to not only academic excellence but also the holistic development of every student. Ongoing support and reinforcement of these principles will undoubtedly contribute to the sustained success of Pak-Turk Maarif International.
