Thousands of Maarif students around the world competed with one another in the 1st International Photography Competition on the topic “Education in Pandemic Days”. This photography contest lasted from January 10 to February 28, 2021. Every student tried their best to capture the true meaning of studying online during pandemic days. The best three images and the top 10 honorable mentions were decided by votes of the members of the Board of Trustees of the Maarif Foundation and professional photographers.
Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools and Colleges showed extraordinary success among all other Maarif schools. Ibadullah Hassan, Lahore Boys campus student, secured 1st position worldwide. His photo truly depicts the hardship and efforts of rural area students. Their eagerness to get more knowledge and education even in difficult times can easily be seen through his lens. President of TMF, Prof. Dr. Birol AKGÜN congratulated him for this success and awarded him via an online ceremony. His photography was greatly praised by all members of the Board of the Trustees of the Maarif Foundation. Also, among 10 honorable mentions, 7 of them also belonged to Pak-Turk Maarif students. We are proud of our young photographers.
